The noise is like an electric motor dynamo noise, very off putting. My first thoughts is that it was a power streering pump on the top. Mines been replaced last week, by a large garage costing me £113 + fitting, noise was still there. I got it re-diagnosed and they have confirmed its the idler pulley, there are 2 idlers and 1 tensioner.

Hi guys i bought my 206 1.4 HDI 52 plate and the bloke didnt tell me about the power steering leak which is that bad it looses all the fluid in 3days, its really getting annoying and it seems to be coming from around the rack area? id rather not change the rack as i want to sell it but im sick of adding fluidmjjFM.
