Odds are great that it is from the VC breather, or PCV tube. To be from any where else you'd see leaking on a daily basis. IMO for hard use the PCV hose is grossly undersized, should be 3/8" ID minimum with 1/2 - 5/8" ID being optimal. Investigate those 2 further. Make sure lines aren't collapsing/soft.

When I turn the car back on everything seems normal. No check oil light. Never comes on while driving. I have no check engine light either. Oil was replaced 700 km ago with Royal purple 5W30 & K&N oil filter. No oil leaks and no loss in oil pressure while driving. What could be causing this? Driving me nuts. Im still driving the car. I think you might. Provided you use an oil to Ford's exact specification for your car you will be fine. I think it's WSS-M2C913-C but check your handbook. I used Castrol, Mobil and Miller's to the Ford spec when I had a Focus, b ut if you're very happy with the Castrol Magnetec why not stick with it.
